If you are a RETURNING NL COMPETITIVE player, you WILL NEED to register for the tryouts as well.
As always, there is NO COST to try out for the NL COMPETITIVE TEAMS and feel free to forward this email/post on to any friends or family that might be interested.
If you have any more questions, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line 2022/23 NL COMPETITIVE TRYOUTS so we can route the email quicker.
IMPORTANT TRYOUT INFORMATION:
1.) Players should arrive at least 30 mins before the posted tryout time.
2.) Players should wear a WHITE or BLACK shirt and bring a ball, cleats, shin guards, and plenty of fluids.
3.) When players arrive at the park, they are to head to the registration table to get their tryout number. This will be your number for ALL TRYOUTS! So, please keep it with you. You will also find out what field you will need to report to.
4.) It MAY BE REQUIRED that you attend ALL dates listed to try out. However, each coach is different. Coaches emails will be listed for each group and you can feel free to email them directly with questions.
PLEASE NOTE: Players that played competitively before are instructed to NOT wear any United gear (their previous WHITE or BLACK Practice Jersey can be worn inside out) or bring their United bag.
Parents, Your role in the tryouts is just as important to your player's success. Please make sure they have fluids for tryouts and arrive on time. Take care of any meal needs they have before tryouts. Most of all, don't be overly critical of your player and be positive. Nothing will lower the player's energy, or build it back up, then the comment from a parent. To help with this, there will be a special area set up for you close enough for you to see what is going on, but away from the action so it does not become a distraction to the players. We will ask that you respect the process and understand we are trying to do everything we can to help your player be successful in their journey to join an NL United team.
Thanks for your time and we look forward to seeing you during tryouts.
